Bahamas

Beautiful sandy beaches attract many tourists annually to these islands, but the inhabitants who live, work, and play there year-round experience meaningful ministry opportunities among their churches. CBF of the Bahamas constituted as a duly recognized Baptist body in the Bahamas in 2011 and consists of six churches located on the islands of Grand Bahama, Abaco, and Acklins Island. Rev. John McIntosh, pastor of New Hope Baptist Church in Mt. Hope on the island of Abaco, is the Coordinator of CBF of the Bahamas.

CBF churches in Florida and elsewhere in the US are able to help train pastors and church leaders through the Bahamas Bible Institute, which is held on both Abaco and Grand Bahama during three weeks each year. Churches may also partner with Bahamian churches to assist with construction projects, Vacation Bible Schools, disaster response, and other ministries as requested.

Bahamian Baptist pastors have extended open invitations to CBF Florida churches to consider missional engagement opportunities in the Bahama Islands.
