Stetson University Baptist Collegiate Fellowship

Throughout its history, Stetson University has enjoyed a strong relationship with Baptists. Over the years, Baptist Collegiate Ministry (BCM) at Stetson has exposed countless numbers of students to Baptist missions and ministries. When the Florida Baptist Convention announced its decision to end funding for campus ministry at Stetson in 2010, concern arose among alumni and friends of Stetson University over the potential loss of a Baptist presence on campus for students. In response to this need, CBF Florida took on the important task of continuing the Baptist tradition on campus through a student ministry that is now named Baptist Collegiate Fellowship (BCF).

Since its inception in 2010, BCF of Stetson University has been a Baptist ministry with the purpose of encouraging students from varying faith traditions to engage in critical theological reflection, in sincere seeking and in mission engagement, toward a lifetime of service for the Kingdom of God. Within BCF, students are encouraged to love God and love people. Continued engagement in missions and exposure to the overall CBF network will empower these young Baptists to become tomorrow’s leaders, pastors and citizens who will make a difference in the world.
