Summary of work

What to expect?

How do I register?

To register click here.

The registration deadline is Friday, February 1, 2025.  Registrations received after the deadline are not guaranteed a shirt.  Thank you for your support and understanding!

How much does it cost?
$100 per person covers T-shirt, lunches, snacks, and a community dinner on Saturday and some supplies. Other expenses (transportation, hotel, meals on the road, etc.) are the responsibility of the group or individual.

Does the event cost cover all project supplies?
CBF Florida/Caribbean Islands is contributing $1,000 towards this project.  Churches and individuals are encouraged, but not required to contribute to the project budget for the weekend, and sponsorships are a great way to make this happen.  Any gift is helpful!

Where will we be staying?

What will we be eating?
Breakfasts are included in your hotel fee at the Hampton Inn.
Lunches on Saturday and Sunday will be served at the work sites, and will consist of sandwiches, chips, and bottled water.
Dinner (To Be Determined) on Saturday night will be served at Friendship Chapel Church of God, Fellowship Hall at 6 PM

What will we be doing?
Clean-Up and Debris Removal - There is a need for cleaning up homes and properties.
Light Carpentry Work –
Repairs to homes and facilities are necessary to restore functionality and safety.

What tools/supplies are needed?
When projects are finalized in early February, teams will be advised of tools/supplies required for work sites.

Who can attend?
This is an intergenerational mission engagement opportunity.  Church teams (both youth and adults), families, and individuals are welcome, however, the minimum age to attend and participate is 10 years old.  Children ages 10-13 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.  Children ages 14-17 can be accompanied by adult (over 21) church leaders.  Church teams will be kept together at work sites.
A valid background check is required for all adults (18 and older) who are participating in this event.

What if I can only come for part of the weekend?
That’s ok.  Simply indicate on your registration form which days you will be working, but please note the $100 registration fee cannot be pro-rated.

What should I bring?
Work clothes (layers are recommended)
Jacket, cap, rain gear (check the weather before packing)
Work gloves
Close-toed work shoes with socks (sneakers ok, may be messy work)
