Healthy Churches Ministerial Coaching Grant
CBF Florida received a block grant as a result of the fundraising efforts for the CBF’s 25th Anniversary. One of the areas for which the block grant can be used is toward the goal of creating and maintaining healthy churches. Because healthy ministers can aid their congregations in the pursuit of overall organizational health, the Representative Assembly of CBF Florida and the Caribbean Islands decided to put some of the funds received in the block grant toward a ministerial coaching stipend for three ministers per year for the duration of the grant. Applicants will be assessed on a first-come-first-served basis.
All grant monies will be made payable directly to a certified coach or seasoned minister serving as a coach. Coaches must be approved by CBF Florida and the grantee’s congregation. Grant requests cannot exceed $2000. What happens within coaching sessions remains confidential, however, general grant reports will be generated monthly by the coach and the grantee, and the congregation the grantee serves will submit quarterly reports in order to assess the effectiveness of the sessions. Priority assistance will be given to young ministers (age 40 and below.).
